Key benefits of submitting to EM

The competition in the global academic journal market is increasing. Many new journals come up every year. So you as author ask rightly why you should submit to a specific journal. To help you answering this question we would like to mention some key benefits you derive when submitting to Electronic Markets.

  • Electronic Markets is the pioneer in publishing electronic markets research. Started in 1991, it was the first journal to report on developments and the latest trends related to the exciting and rapidly evolving research field of electronic markets and related issues and thus has been a pionier in field of scientific electronic commerce (e-commerce) research publication. Our Editors and members of the editorial board have a lot of experience in this research area.
  • Electronic Markets is well ranked. We are ranked as an A journal in Europe and Australia.
  • The double-blind review process of Electronic Markets is very short compared to other journals. A first decision (conditional accept / reject) is usually made within 6-8 weeks after submission. On average it takes 6-8 months from submission to online first publication.
  • We are committed to quality. We do not accept positive reviewer lists like other journals do. We will not accept articles for review which are published online under the same title to ensure a double-blind review.
  • We use Editorial Manager as our online submission system. You can conveniently submit your manuscripts and track their progress in the review process.
  • The feedback you receive is usually very comprehensive. Our reviewers are advised to write about half an A4 page of comments or more.
  • The quality of the review process is assured by our Associate Editors who themselves are well-recognized researchers in their field.
  • Our publisher Springer allows self-archiving of finally accepted articles (author version). You can upload the article to your homepage and potential readers can benefit from instant availability.
  • All our articles are published online first after final acceptance. This reduces the delay in availability commonly seen in journals which do not implement online first publishing.

Convinced? We are looking forward to your submission!
